Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain a leading global health concern, responsible for a significant portion of morbidity and mortality. Physical activity has long been recognized as a cornerstone of CVD prevention, and running, as one of the most accessible and popular forms of exercise, has garnered considerable attention. This research paper aims to explore the multifaceted relationship between running and cardiovascular health. Drawing upon a comprehensive review of existing literature, this study delves into the physiological adaptations induced by running, emphasizing its role in improving cardiovascular parameters. Key aspects under investigation include the effects of running on heart health, arterial function, blood lipid profiles, and blood pressure regulation. Moreover, this research addresses the impact of running on systemic inflammation, oxidative stress, and endothelial function, all of which are implicated in CVD pathogenesis.
